As compared to all poker games “Caribbean stud poker” is slightly a different game. In this game the players don’t bet against other players but simply bet against bank. It’s a very easy game to play with. The game is started with the placing of antes. This is the starting bet that goes direct into the pot and has to be placed before the dealer distributes the cards. The cards are generally distributed from a multi deck “shoe” or automatic shuffling machine that deals in groups of five card hands. And the players try to beat dealer with best poker hand.
Now let’s learn some rules to play this game and make this game quick and easy for you :
THE CALL BET
After all players have anted up, the dealer deals each player with five cards including himself also. Four cards of the dealer are faced down and one is faced up. In this poker game rules are slightly different as compared to draw poker and other poker games. In Caribbean stud poker game the cards you are dealt with are the one you have to play with, you can’t redraw the cards and if you believe that you don’t have strong cards compared to face up card of dealer to beat it. On that condition you can simply fold your cards immediately, and you only lose your ante bet. And on the other hand if you think that you have strong cards based on dealers up card and you think you could win the hand you can bet. Your bet amount should be equalizing double twice the amount of your ante bet. This is known as call bet.
SHOWDOWN
Once all players have folded or called now its dealers turn to reveal his four hole cards. The dealers hand should contain ace king or higher card to compete with rest of the players. And if it is not so the round acts into a “push”. And the dealer pays money on ante bets of all players remaining in the game. If the dealers hand qualifies higher then players hand he claims both the players ante and call bets. And if the player wins. He takes even money on the ante bet and the total bonus for the call bet.
THE JACKPOT BET
Caribbean stud poker also allows players to have a progressive jackpot bet. Similar to antes these are also placed before the dealing of cards. It cashes to the players who hits a big hand, a flush or higher. A player who hits one of the mentioned hands wins regardless of whether he beats the dealer or not. According to Caribbean poker rules only that players receive the payout of jackpot that bet into the jackpot. One thing to remember is that if you ever hit a progressive jackpot announce it to the dealer before the end of the dont wait for hand to finish because the dealer might inadvertently scoop your cards into the dead pile and if this happens, you will unfortunately lose your winnings, so instead of losing your hand protect it because you win regardless whether you beat the dealer or not.
